Beginning Note Reader Rainbow Flashcards
$5.00
These flashcards are great sight reading practice for piano students starting to read notes on the staff. The set includes 6 landmark notes: bass C, bass clef F, bass clef middle C, treble clef middle C, treble clef G and treble C. It also includes treble clef D, E and F, and bass clef G, A and B.
Students play and name the low note first, then float off the keys in a rainbow shape to land on, play, and name the 2nd note. They can go low to high or high to low. For an extra level of difficulty, have them play with the metronome, allowing two clicks per note. You can also put several cards in a row to make a longer and harder challenge.
Suggested technique: play with a relaxed, curved hand, and a non-legato technique using arm drops to drop into the keys with finger 3, then float up the wrists following each note.
Studio-licensed digital PDF download, 11 pages.
