Description
This winter my piano studio is focusing on winter-themed music for our February recital. I played through dozens of snowy, frosty and cozy pieces, rated every one, and matched my favorites to my students, from brand-new pre-staff beginners to my most advanced players.
I loved this search so much that I put my list together to help other teachers start their own! The recommendations are organized by level, easiest first: Pre-Staff, Early Elementary, Elementary, Late Elementary, Early Intermediate, Intermediate, Late Intermediate and Advanced. A final section lists winter books and collections. Every title is a hyperlink, so it’s easy to find the music and download or purchase it.
Of course the list isn’t exhaustive, and there is so much more out there from these composers and others. But I hope it gives you a head start and some wonderful ideas for your own winter piano recital!
